The 2010/2011 league title came down the last day of the season with the Kings starting the day in second place, with a deciding fixture against Khaos the current league leaders. The Kings received a bye in to the semi-finals as they were the top seeded team and played as a guest in the A divison national group stage. After putting in some strong performances in the group stages including a hard fought 4-3 defeat to eventual A divison champs Blackpool Raiders, they prepared for their B divison semi-final against Trearrdur Titans. On July 14th 2009, The Kings successfully defended the BIPHA hosted Viking Cup beating Pro Joy on penalty shots in the final. The game finished 5-5 with goals coming from Law (3), Morgan and Seaman. The Kings scored all 3 of there penalty shots to retain the trophy for another year.
The Sheffield Kings beat Hull in the final to lift the Viking Cup. A hard fought game by both teams saw the teams tied at 4-4. 5 minutes sudden death overtime still couldn’t separate the two teams and the game was decided on penalty shots. King’s netminder Dan Whittaker held strong to give the Kings victory.
